Vet

Sarah Stephen BVSc

My name is Sarah and I am a proud Dunedin local having grown up here until leaving for university. I have worked in Taupo, the Uk for a few years, and now I am enjoying being back in the best city in the world, Dunedin!

My interests include medicine, ultrasound and cardiology where I am currently working on a Cardiology Certificate. I also enjoy soft tissue surgery and elderly care. My passion is making sure your animal has the best opportunity to have a happy and thriving life. Being a veterinarian is tough at times but it can be fulfilling to be able to make a difference.

Outside of work I enjoy everything outdoors such as trail running with my dog Ardie, tramping, mountain biking, camping, crossfit, netball and most sports.

I am loving working in our small St Clair community. If you spot me on #dunnerstunner day out for a coffee, say hello!

Kristin Townsend BVSc, BSc

Hi there! I am Krissy and I work part time at Vets@StClair.  I am loving getting to know the Vets@StClair community. I graduated from Massey University as a vet back in 2009 and moved to Dunedin to make it my home (someone told me you had to be here 20 years before being considered a local so I am nearly there!).

I have a much loved collection of dogs and cats at home, so I really understand the deep bond owners have with their furry companions and hope to help enhance that through providing great healthcare and support to you. I am also the proud mum (read taxi) to two teen/tween boys who keep me busy at all times! We think Dunedin is New Zealand’s best kept secret and just love getting out and about to enjoy all it has to offer whenever we do get a spare moment.

Vic Cossou

I started nursing in 2011 after gaining the Certificate in Veterinary Nursing from Otago Polytechnic. This was followed by the Diploma in 2013. I honed my skills working at a very busy Best Practice accredited veterinary hospital for almost 13 years before making the move to Vets@StClair in May this year.

I have lots of experience in all aspects of veterinary nursing and hold qualifications in Low Stress Handling, Laser therapy and oral care. I have a keen interest in dental care, feline nursing and pain management.

My own pets are 2 elderly cats with very different personalities and an energetic collie cross who allows me to explore Dunedin with her.

I’m excited to be a part of this small but awesome team and to get to know the clients and their beloved pets

Contact us for friendly advice and professional pet health care by phone, email or drop in to our Practice to say hello or make an appointment for a later time. Consultations are by appointment only.
